Growing up my family weren’t rich at all. Mum and dad both worked but we were lucky to still have food on the table. I was the oldest boy out of 11 siblings, and we always looked out for each other. My own family is the most important thing to me and I have worked hard to provide for them. I love seeing our kids growing up, it’s really cool. They are growing up to be good people with our values. They’ve got respect, manners, they look after us, and they are also about doing something for others. They are honest, hardworking and trustworthy. This club (Otara Scorpions) is also part of my family. My wife and I are here at 7am every Saturday to set up the fields, pack them down, clean up and clean the toilets.
Lot of people come here to get something, we come to give back. Family always comes first.
