I’m a mum in a blended family. Raising our kids is very important to me. Getting everyone under one roof for an occasion, and having everyone love each other, makes me proud. In our south Auckland community a lot of families are working very hard, working opposite shifts. Creating that family environment that people want is actually very difficult. It’s really tough. Families might not even spend Christmas together. So to be able to get everyone in one place can be a real challenge, and therefore a proud moment. It doesn’t happen often. Those special times with family and friends, those matter the most.
