“I will never forget that day. My daughter was 8 months old and learning to walk. Up until that point I had been really tired and felt like I was just going through the motions of being a Mum. My daughter had been trying to walk and she nearly fell over. She turned around and looked at me to show me that she needed my help. I suddenly felt the overwhelming responsibility of my role. Of having to be there for her emotionally, spiritually and physically. That was such a cool moment for me because parenting had just been a duty. That moment made me feel like a mother! I know that this was when we connected. I could tell you what she was wearing and how she had her hair, because it made such an impact on me.”
