I’m someone who needs big events to make me change. I was a radio DJ for eight years, and would probably still be there, but I was made redundant! This led me into going to study teaching, and where I have now found my calling. Teaching is a roller coaster ride, it’s not for those who are averse to change, or who have a thin skin. I think about how great people have always had great teachers, like Mr Neal, or coaches and I want to be that for my students. I tell my kids “Please make something of yourself, and when they make a movie about you, make sure they cast “The Rock” as me, that’s all the payback I need”.
