What is your greatest struggle right now?
“I guess seeing how little people value humanity. For me the greatest religion is humanity, you know. Respect for other people, but often I see it doesn’t occur. I see it as a struggle and somehow it effects me as well.”
So if you could give advice to a large group of people in relation to what you just said, what would you say?
“I’d tell them that the greatest religion in the world is Humanity. You know there’s this Maori proverb,
He aha te mea nui o te ao?
He tangata! He tangata! He tangata!
What is the most important thing in the world?
It is people! It is people! It is people!
That’s why I really like South Auckland, that’s why I like our community. I’ve worked at lots of different hospitals and I really like the hospital I’m at at the moment because its really got this whole community feel where we are together. We’re like a family and we’re working on improving the community together.”
